People sometimes ask why our shop carries so few products. Most stores are always adding, always widening the aisle, always chasing the next thing. We did the opposite. There is a reason, and it goes back to my daughter Emme, a phone call I will never forget, and a promise I made in a moment of panic.
It started with Reagan Sanai
I have been using the Reagan Sanai line since Emme was born. Not since we opened the shop, not since it became convenient, since the beginning of her life. I know these products as a mother first, because they were what I reached for when I was learning to care for my baby girl's hair and skin. They are the products that were in our bathroom when I was figuring it all out, one wash day at a time.
And when I was panicking and needed advice, I did not get a customer service ticket. I got a one-on-one call with the wonderful owner, who walked me through what I needed with patience and real knowledge. That call changed something in me. It showed me what it looks like when a maker truly stands behind their products and the families who use them. That is the kind of company I wanted to spend my time sharing, and it is why Reagan Sanai has been the heart of our shop from day one.
Why Sweet Peach Tree exists at all
That experience is also why Sweet Peach Tree was born. I remember what it felt like to panic about how to care for my amazing new adopted baby, and I decided I never wanted another parent to feel that way. Not you, not the family scrolling at midnight with a new baby and a hundred questions. Our shop exists so that the answer to "how do I care for my child's hair and skin" is simple, warm, and already vetted by someone who has been there.
Why we will never carry more
Everything we carry has been chosen the same way: directly, personally, and slowly. Our own Sweet Peach Tree line was curated working directly with partners I have gotten to know and admire, Black women who know this skin and this hair and the natural ingredients that nurture a healthy radiance, inside and out. We carry three Sweet Peach Tree products, the All Over Balm, the Glow Hydrating Oil, and the Everyday Refresher Spray, and the full Reagan Sanai line, and that is it.
Not because we lack imagination, but because we lack reasons to switch. These are the products I have used in my own home, on my own children, in every season, for years. They work, over and over again, every day and every season. I trust the ingredients because I helped curate them with people I trust. When you only carry what you believe in completely, you never need a bigger shelf.
